Early Years Foundation Stage

At Ninelands our aim is to create a learning environment and build relationships which support, enhance and invite a child’s curiosity, confidence and individual competency to flourish regardless of backgrounds, circumstances or needs. We aim to work collaboratively with parents and carers to encourage independent, enthusiastic learners who thrive and reach their full potential. It is our intent that children who enter our EYFS begin their lifelong learning journey by developing physically, verbally, cognitively and emotionally whilst also embedding a positive attitude to school and a love of learning.

To ensure children make outstanding progress in Ninelands EYFS, it is our intent to take into consideration the starting points and needs of our pupils as they begin their learning journey. Every child has access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum which prepares them for now and for the future in terms of opportunities and experiences. Following personal interests and individual needs through our Personalised Learning, allows us to plan and provide opportunities throughout our EYFS curriculum to support learning and development and achieve next steps.

Your child may start their journey at Ninelands in either our Nursery or join us at the start of the academic year in Reception. Whichever starting point your child has, our aim is to embed positive learning behaviours and a life-long love of learning in a safe and engaging environment.

At Ninelands our approach towards Early Education is centred around a holistic curriculum. The curriculum followed is ‘Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)’. We are passionate that learning is not confined to within the indoor classrooms and are extremely fortunate to have a large outdoor area too. We consider both areas to be an invaluable tool to support learning, we utilise these areas to encourage exploration and fascination of the world around them.

Your child’s learning will follow their personal interests closely and be adapted to meet your child’s individual needs, which is paramount to ensuring they receive a high standard of care. We celebrate every child’s uniqueness and believe it is essential to encourage self-belief, independence, confidence and their emotional wellbeing. We also offer full time nursery provision from 7.30am to 6pm utilising our own Out of School Club. See our flyer for further information or contact school on outofschoolclub@ninelands-school.co.uk

As a whole Early Years Team, we look forward to meeting both you and your child and hope we have the opportunity to nurture, support and educate them during their Early Years.
