PARENTS IN SCHOOL
At Ninelands Primary we greatly value our partnership with parents and look forward to enjoying your support in the following ways:
Consultation Meetings An open evening is arranged in the first term of each academic year to give parents and staff an opportunity to discuss how the children have settled into their new classes. A further open evening is held in the spring term to give you the opportunity to see your child’s work and to discuss his/her progress with the class teacher. A written report is sent to parents at the end of each school year.
In addition to these ‘formal’ meetings parents can see staff, usually without appointment, on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons between 3.30 pm and 3.45 pm. If you need a longer discussion please make an appointment in order to ensure that the member of staff or the headteacher is available.
Helpers in School
We are very grateful to any parent who can spare a morning or an afternoon to help in school on a regular basis. Parents work in the classroom with group activities and are welcome in all classes..
In order to ensure the safety of your children we do require all voluntary helpers to comply with the Criminal Records Bureau vetting procedures. If you would be willing to act as a voluntary helper please contact the headteacher or your child’s class teacher.
