We encourage pupils to learn through additional internally and externally organised events.

Ninelands have been involved in a number of educational events and are curently developing a number of projects

Allotment and Wildlife Area

2009 saw the start of the work in the allotment and wildlife area being funded by the lottery grant. Mrs Utley is co-ordinating all the work and together with Miss Smith, is working with Mr Steve Norman and two groups of pupils from Garforth Community College to design and build the garden.

Children from Ninelands will be involved, working in groups with measuring, designing, selecting materials, costing and planning.  Once the construction team from GCC have built the raised beds and completed the hard landscaping, more children will help with the planting. The plan is for the garden to be completed by the end of this term ready for growing season

National Story Telling Week

Children across all year groups have been enjoying a variety of stories during National Story Telling week.  Key Stage 1 were entertained by two theatre companies who told the story of "Pepito" and "Grace Darling".  Children in Reception visited the West Yorkshire Playhouse to watch a production of  "The Snow Queen".
